Stuff

Analysis there are 142 instances of "stuff" in spoken discourse and only 10 found in written discourse, it seems "stuff" almost exclusively happens in spoken language it is found in written discourse, "stuff" happens in less formal texts in written language, "stuff" seems quite common to collcate on the left with "and" and on the right with "like that" to make up the block "and stuff like that" (13 instances) in terms of colligation on discourse level, "stuff"/" and stuff"/"and stuff like that" seem to occur at the end of an utterance in spoken discourse, it seems that "stuff" is quite often preceded by words "the", "that" and "this" within which "the" (13 instances) seems the strongest one the preposition "of" is quite common to appear in front of "stuff" which results in 10 instances in the spoken discourse
