Speaker: Dr.Vincent Ho

Dr. Vincent Ho is the Chairman of HKARMS, and the Past Chairman of the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers (HKIE)-Safety Specialist Committee and Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH, Hong Kong). Vincent received his PHD in Nuclear Engineering from the University of California, Los Angeles, specialising in risk management and safety.

Programme highlights:
The Speaker will cover the following topics with an aim to foster cross-industry knowledge-sharing and a better understanding of the information provided by media:

  • Basic nuclear physics and reactor designs
  • Lessons learned from past major accidents
  • Events at Fukushima I and aftermath
  • Lessons learnt and discussion

The Speaker will discuss how to interpret information from media for this event, and the importance in giving out concise message during the onset of a crisis
