UPCOMING (4 April)
PolySystemic: Language & Educational Symposium
Information and registration form are available [here].

Warm greetings from PolyU!

The First PolySystemic Symposium is a significant event in the new Faculty of Humanities of the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. It is organized by members of two of its departments:

This Symposium is designed to contribute to our ongoing systemic functional linguistics discussions and interactions in the Pearl River Delta, building on and complementing previous events in our region and providing a forum for the development of new collaborative initiatives and of our collective advancement of systemic functional linguistics.

The Symposium will include talks by a number of colleagues from the region and also by visitors and supporters from abroad. One of our key speakers will be Professor M.A.K. Halliday, who is currently a visiting Chair Professor in the Department of English at PolyU.

The Symposium will be free, starting with a reception in the early evening of Wednesday the 8 April 2009, continuing throughout Thursday the 9 April 2009 with a dinner in the evening.

We look forward to seeing you in the Symposium!
